A Hopeful Tale of Lost Sheep Struggling to Find Their Way.
Decent Deceit is a terrific story of several lost sheep trying to make their way from troubled pasts into a confusing and sometimes terrifying future. The characters evolve quickly and the author does a good job of portraying their challenges through crisp dialogue and introspection. The chapters are succinct and fairly short so is convenient for the time challenged to keep moving ahead steadily. There is a good array of surprising developments that affect the struggling sheep but their challenges evolve rapidly, consistently leaving the reader to wonder what will happen to them next, which does not take long to be revealed. The story is a gripping emotional roller coaster so make sure you have extra tissues handy. This is Pinschmidt’s best book yet. I give her 5 stars.
